The May, 2010 flooding and tornados in our state brought widespread destruction in many of our counties.  In most disasters, a number of responders become victims, suffering losses of property or worse.  Several people in our Tennessee family of dispatchers were among those who have lost homes and personal property.

With the blessings of PSTC's 911 Cares, TENA began a program called TENA Cares, which will be an on-going program where help will be available for those who help others.

The TENA CARES Fund has been established to assist a Tennessee Emergency Number Association (TENA) member, defined as ECD Board member, ECD/PSAP Management or Administrative staff, or PSAP Dispatcher, during times of devastating personal tragedy.

Through the generosity of private donors, our vendors, employees in our communication centers, attendees at our conference, the TIES User group and our annual Wii Bowling Tournament, TENA Cares was able to help.
